St Brieux to Drumheller

Today we drove about 450kms to Drumheller in Alberta. Drumheller is known as the dinosaur capital of the world. It has the richest deposits of fossils and dinosaur bones in North America. It also has the Royal Tyrrell Museum which is one of the leading palaeontology museums in the world. Drumheller is located in a valley which was once an inland sea, and so it has some amazing geological formations. The drive across to Alberta was very scenic. Canola is flowering now so the countryside was just wall to wall green and gold. As we got closer to Alberta the fields got bigger and trees got fewer.
